MG‑180W water‑cooled screw chiller with heat‑recovery function is a high‑efficiency industrial cooling unit. While producing chilled water for process or building HVAC cooling, it recycles waste condensing heat that would otherwise be discharged via cooling tower, to generate hot water for domestic or process usage.
This dual‑purpose chiller delivers stable chilled water and free hot‑water supply at the same time, greatly cutting down overall site energy consumption. Widely used for hotels, hospitals, chemical plants, food factories, large‑scale industrial facilities & commercial building projects.
How Heat‑Recovery Works
In standard vapor‑compression refrigeration cycle, the compressor discharges high‑temperature & high‑pressure refrigerant vapor (70‑90℃). Our unit installs an extra heat‑recovery shell‑and‑tube heat exchanger between compressor outlet and main condenser.
Hot refrigerant vapor first flows through the heat‑recovery exchanger, transfers heat to cold tap water, heating it up to 45‑60℃ hot water.
After releasing partial heat, refrigerant flows to the main water‑cooled condenser for further condensing.
Hot water is pumped into insulated hot‑water storage tank for on‑site consumption.
When hot‑water demand drops, surplus heat is rejected by cooling tower as normal.
