Screw Type Air Cooled Chiller

A screw - type air - cooled chiller is a refrigeration system. It has screw compressors and air - cooled condensers. It has an integrated design and is equipped with reliable brand screw compressors. This ensures durable performance and an efficient cooling effect in demanding refrigeration applications.

The screw chiller uses a screw compressor, which is renowned for its reliability, high - efficiency, and large - capacity cooling performance. It compresses the refrigerant gas, raising its temperature and pressure. As the hot refrigerant gas then passes through the condenser, it releases heat to the surrounding environment. After that, the cooled and condensed refrigerant liquid passes through an expansion valve, where it expands and evaporates, absorbing heat from the coolant fluid (usually water or a glycol - water mixture) that is circulated around the CNC machine components. This cooled coolant is then pumped back to the CNC machine to maintain an optimal operating temperature.
The device is equipped with a "W"-type arranged corrosion-resistant aluminum finned condenser, which has higher energy efficiency compared to traditional models.

Working principle diagram

A water - cooled chiller uses a shell - and - tube evaporator to exchange heat between water and refrigerant. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the process water, producing chilled water. The compressor conveys the heat - carrying refrigerant to the shell - and - tube condenser. Here, the heat is transferred to the condenser water. The heated water is then transported through piping to an external cooling tower. There, the heat is dissipated into the atmosphere. This process is commonly called water cooling.
